Guest Bio

Diane Puchbauer, PhD is a seasoned therapist with over twenty years of experience in both traditional and ancient healing techniques. She served as an assistant and adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University from 2004 to 2015, teaching Child & Adolescent Therapy, Family Therapy, and Human Sexuality & Sex Therapy. Diane has been actively involved in therapeutic work since 2001, helping a diverse range of clients in schools, hospitals, and counseling centers.

She co-founded Peak Experience Training, creating programs that equip wilderness guides with therapeutic skills for outdoor settings. Diane also authored Adventure Therapy for Adolescents: A Skills Training Manual for Adventure Counselors, which is central to her Clinical First Responder™ training programs. This work draws on her extensive background working with troubled adolescents in wilderness and alternative school settings.

Additionally, Diane has been active in the equestrian world as a competitive show jumper and dressage student since 2010, using her skills to facilitate equine-assisted therapy. Her educational background in cultural anthropology and her studies in spiritual and ancient wisdom traditions deeply influence her practice. She employs techniques to harmonize energy fields, aiming to restore overall well-being and balance. Diane’s holistic approach helps individuals connect with their inner selves and the natural world, promoting healing across physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.
